These are a thin layer of porcelain which are adhered to the face of the tooth. There are many cases in which they may be used eg. to mask discolouration, to close spaces between teeth and to repair broken teeth. The tooth requires minimal preparation and when treatment is complete the appearance of the tooth is transformed.
